DoubleOtt Home Inspections focuses on the need for peace of mind in purchasing/owning a home. I strive to thoroughly inspect and report, and to provide you all the information you truly deserve while you make, perhaps, the single most expensive purchase of your life, or the knowledge you need to make improvements.
I target everything I can see, and pay close attention to detail. As a former law enforcement officer, I have an eye for detail, and I know the importance of a thorough report.
I also understand that not everyone is available during normal business hours. My hours are listed 9-5, but with reasonable request, I am available for evening and weekend appointments as well.
Any questions or inquiries? Feel free to contact me, anytime. Email, call, text, or message me on Facebook.

Buying a home? As the buyer, you will want to know exactly what issues you may or may not want addressed, prior to closing. An inspection will disclose all visible and accessible defects that need attention.
As the seller of a home, you may feel the desire to get an inspection, prior to listing, so that you can take notice and address issues that may come up in negotiations and closing. A pre-listing inspection could save a lot of time an energy, and assist in making the sale of your home less stressful.
After an inspection has been done, there may be issues the buyer wants addressed before closing. Having the property re-inspected can ease the worry about the defect being repaired or not. A re-inspection is basically an addendum to an inspection, addressing fixed issues that were noted in the original inspection report.
New construction inspections are a way to insure that you are getting a safe and proper build on your new home. The inspection will outline the progress and allow for a deeper observation of the interior of your home, prior to the "bones" being covered.
Not only can inspections be performed on constructed homes, but we can also inspect mobile homes, manufactured homes, tiny homes, and log homes. Different materials and rules apply for these type homes, and an inspection can take notice of these.
Own a home? Want to invest in maintenance and up-keep of your home? A maintenance inspection can help you prioritize any work you may have in mind. Spend your money wisely, knowing the difference between things you would LIKE to do and things you NEED to do.
Own rental property? A rental inspection can help you with your investment, long and short term. Have trouble with renters demanding maintenance? Have trouble with renters damaging property? A rental inspection can be the documented proof you need in case you need to litigate a claim.
During construction, banks may want an inspection of the progress of the building. Usually the loans will be disbursed at different stages. These draw inspections can eliminate any doubt of progress and expedite the whole construction experience.
Looking to buy or sell a commercial building? An inspection could ease your mind. These are typically a much higher purchase than a home. A commercial inspection, also called a "walk-thru", can address many issues and defects-just as in home inspections.

Radon is a naturally-occurring radioactive gas that can cause lung cancer. Radon gas is inert, colorless and odorless. Most people have never even heard of it, but it could have an effect on you, your family, and pets. An inspection will determine Radon levels in your home to see if it is safe or mitigation is required.
How often do you enter your crawlspace, or your attic? How often do you consider the idea that you could be affected by wood destroying organisms, such as beetles or termites?
Perhaps adding this service to an existing inspection request could provide a little comfort in knowing your home or dwelling has not been invaded.
